Morality is the values that a society or culture has adopted. The values are what they consider right or wrong. Ethics refers to human behaviors and how we should act in different situations. I think, as a teacher, that we should teach morals, values and ethics by first being good role models to our students. We are training students to grow up and join a society that expects them to know right from wrong. The trouble with ethics in today’s high tech society, kids are exposed to more bad human behaviors, than good. They can go on Youtube and watch kids assaulting each other and no one is trying to stop them. Teachers, parents, and the community need to come together and teach students what is ethically correct when using technology. The reality shows and Internet sites of today are teaching society to do what feels good, not what is morally correct. It is our job as educators and members of the U.S. culture, that was based on high moral standards, to put limits on things that are not appropriate for young minds.
